For some reason Itch wouldn't let me comment on my 5 star rating so I'll post it here

This is a fantastic quick game that I think would make a great addition to investigation and supernatural games like Call of Cthulhu, Phantoms, etc.

Highly recommend giving it a try.

You can read my full review and quick playthrough on my blog

I like the idea of adding the game to another one. And not only supernatural/horror related games. Since this technique was common in the 19th century, I think it also fits perfectly in a steampunk-themed game. Can you imagine Jules Verne writing in the middle of a séance? Hell, yeah!!! In addition, GraveCard, my other game, could fit like a glove on Mörk Börg.

On a personal note, you say on your playthrough "I have used the Psychomanteum process before in real life paranormal investigation with interesting results". We're on the same page, buddy ;)

Thank you very much for your kind words here and on your blog!!! And if you try it in a large game, just let me know. It will be a pleasure to read the results!!!

Kind regards,
Javier

Scrying an Alone Among the Stars hack about holding seances and seeing psychic visions in the old fashion way--in dark room with a darkened mirror!

You play it like a standard Alone Among game, rolling first to see how many cards per seance, what the cards mean, and then another roll per card to see where the vision takes place, i.e. the Divine world, the Astral world or Infernal world.

You may get visions of people, places, things or animals, both alive and dead, angels, demons, and sometimes something might even attack you!

I took extreme artistic liberties when I wrote my playthrough by deciding that my psychic was a fraud and described how he and his assistant tricked people. The game technically isn’t intended for this, but it was fun to figure out how to work in the prompts in this setting! You can find my playthrough Here

Wow, amazing! Thank you so much for the time invested in playing and sharing the playthrough! The idea of being a "real" seance instead of a personal journey was pretty original. And the dude being a fraud was the icing on the cake. You took my game, and made it your own by giving it your personal touch. Love it! I really enjoyed reading it! Thank you very much again, K-Ramstack! :) :) :)
